Ben Mitchell reckons that he may have found new romance in EastEnders – but little does he know that there is far more to his potential boyfriend Luke than meets the eye as he is the son of the man who raped Ben’s mum Kathy Beale.
James Willmott-Brown may well have instructed Luke to move in on Ben as part of his despicable revenge scene – and even if he hasn’t yet and their chance encounter was all a coincidence, he soon will! After the pair’s night of passion, Ben toys with the idea of messaging Luke, he isn’t sure whether he is being too pushy – and whether he is ready after the death of Paul Coker.
But Michelle Fowler, who agrees to go on another date with her app suitor Doug, encourages him to go for it and he invites Luke out for a second date.
Desperate to impress, Ben exaggerates many aspects of his life to appear a big shot but even though an amused Luke sees through it, the two end up getting on and passion in the Arches soon follows once more.
After their recent fallouts, Phil wants to prove to Ben that he can support him and so invites him to bring Luke round to meet everyone.
But as Luke heads round to the Mitchell household, will Phil’s suspicions rise – and will he suss Luke’s link to James?
EastEnders airs these scenes on Thursday 5th October at 7:30pm on BBC One.
