Sky Sports have freshened up their channel line-up ahead of the start of the Premier League 2017/18 season.

Their have been major changes as the popular service received a huge refresh, with Sky Sports channels 1 to 5 replaced by dedicated services.

There are now two football channels, including Sky Sports Premier League, along with stations for golf, cricket and Formula One.

Sky have also promised a slew of new programmes, including a nightly Premier League debate show on Sky Sports Premier League

Here is the complete channel line-up for Sky Sports and the channel numbers:

• Sky Sports Main Event (Sky Channel 401, Virgin 501, BT 437) 

• Sky Sports Premier League (Sky Channel 402, Virgin 502) 

• Sky Sports Football (Sky Channel 403, Virgin 503)  

• Sky Sports Cricket (Sky Channel 404, Virgin 504) 

• Sky Sports Golf (Sky Channel 405, Virgin 505) 

• Sky Sports F1 (Sky Channel 406, Virgin 506) 

• Sky Sports Action (Sky Channel 407, Virgin 507) 

• Sky Sports Arena (Sky Channel 408, Virgin 508) 

• Sky Sports News (Sky Channel 409, Virgin 509)

The Sky Sports Action, Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena channels will show action from rugby, boxing, tennis and a number of other sports.

Existing customers are receive the new Sky Sports package automatically and the new channels will replace the old ones.

But for new customers, Sky Sports will offer something for fans who are only interested in a specific sport.

The new line-up is designed to be flexible enough to suit customers who are only interested in paying to watch certain sports.

One channel pack will be available for just £18 per month (60p per day), two for £22 and three for £26. 

Managing Director of Sky Sports, Barney Francis said: “We’re dedicating channels to some of our biggest sports, launching a new way to watch the best live action and offering even better digital products too.

“Sky Sports is giving customers even more choice and channels at the same price for another 12 months, while opening up new ways for sports fans to join.

“If you love Premier League, you can enjoy it for as little as 60p a day or you can have the full Sky Sports package for less than £1.”

Sky Sports News and Sky Sports Mix will still be available to all Sky customers.

NOW TV customers will be able to purchase the new Sky Sports line-up at no additional cost. Virgin Media and TalkTalk customers will also benefit from the channel changes.

Express.co.uk recently revealed how TalkTalk are offering the “lowest priced Sky Sports bundle”.

The telecom company is offering their Fast Broadband package with Sky Sports for £28.45 for 18 months, or the speedier Faster Fibre package with Sky Sports for £35 for 18 months.

That works out as only £8.50 for the additional Sky Sports bundle – a saving of £25.50 when compared to the provider’s usual prices.

There’s also no activation fee and the monthly cost includes a free TV box and line rental.
