While many of us prefer the comfy setting of a bed to the deed, others have taken their sexual escapades beyond the bedroom.
Those looking to spice up their sex life, or those just curious, may want to know other popular locations people are doing it.
And the number one spot – a survey carried out by Lovehoney can reveal 92 per cent of couples have migrated to the shower for sex.
The bath is the next most popular sex location, with 89 per cent of people admitting they’ve given it a go here.
The next most sought after space is the sofa, followed by the kitchen table.
A further 58 per cent of couples say they’ve had sex in their gardens, and 47 per cent said they’ve tried doing it on the stairs.
Moving beyond the home, one in six couples say they’ve done the deed on the train, and the next popular destinations were in planes, in garages, on top of washing machines and in greenhouses.
Sex is enjoyed all over the world but which city is having the most? A new study reveals which ones top the list.
Lazeeva, a mobile erotica company, conducted a survey to determine which cities around the world are the most sex positive.
The study involved more than 450,000 people around the world, but also used pre-existing data from departments of health from different countries, as well as the UN-WHO and the World Bank.
The researchers ranked 100 different cities on how sex positive they are.
This was defined by the city “having or promoting an open tolerant, or progressive attitude towards sex and sexuality”.
To narrow down further they focused on how sexually active, experimental and satisfied people are, how often they use sex toys and watch porn, gender equality, LGBT friendliness, the amount of adult entertainment and access to contraception.
The findings revealed Paris, ‘the city of love’, is the city which has the most sex.
In second place was Rio de Janeiro, the home of some of the skimpiest bikinis in the world.
Three was London, followed by Los Angeles then Berlin.
