That is the view of pundit and Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier.
However, Le Tissier says the worry over Liverpool is the defensive part of their game.
The Reds take on Sevilla at Anfield tonight in their opening Champions League group stage match.
They are coming off the back of a 5-0 defeat against Manchester City on Saturday in the Premier League, but that was largely due to the red card received by Sadio Mane in the first half.
Le Tissier says Liverpool’s leaky defence will get exposed in Europe but going forward they have no worries.
“We know all about Liverpool offensively, they’re a match for anybody,” Le Tissier said on Sky Sports.
“There’s a lot of good teams in this competition but going forward Liverpool could probably match them.
“However, in the Champions League, if you’ve got defensive frailties, they’ll normally get exposed at some point.
“Obviously that’s been well-documented that a problem for Liverpool is the defensive side of things.”
Klopp has made three changes to his starting XI from the defeat to Man City.
Loris Karius replaces Simon Mignolet in goal, with Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren coming in for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ragnar Klavan.
Philippe Coutinho is named in a match day squad for the first time this season following his failed move to Barcelona in the summer.
