The soap star, who plays Lauren Branning, featured heavily in the deeply emotive episode which saw one of the beloved Brannings die.
Taking to Twitter after the instalment, Jacqueline posted three broken heart emojis in response to Lorna Fitzgerald’s exit.
Jacqueline’s fans flocked underneath the Tweet to share their response to the heart-wrenching scenes.
One wrote: “You were incredible tonight, had me in tears!”
Another added: You were amazing tonight!!! You broke my heart. Did it break your heart whilst watching it ?”
A third posted: “Still so incredibly sad, you were absolutely phenomenal.”
Meanwhile Jake Wood, who plays Lauren and Abi’s dad Max, also added his tribute to Lorna’s portrayal of Abi.
He told his 445,000 followers on Twitter: “As you know @LornaFitz0 I am so proud of all the incredible work you’ve done over the last 12 years and more importantly of the grounded and amazing young woman you’ve become in that time.
“It’s truly been an honour to watch you grow and flourish. Love ya x.”
Jo Joyner was the first of the Branning clan to share her feelings on the loss of Lorna from the EastEnders’ cast.
